About Imperial Beach Pier in Imperial Beach, California

Imperial Beach Pier is the southernmost pier in the San Diego area and the entire state of California. It is a wooden-planked pier that extends 1491 feet out towards the horizon. At the end of the pier it widens and the walkway wraps around a seafood restaurant called The Tin Fish which has outdoor seating with umbrellas and is a pleasant place to hangout. You enter the pier from a small park known as Portwood Pier Plaza which has several other restaurant options and more outdoor seating. Imperial Beach City Beach goes north and south from the park. Surfing is big in Imperial Beach and you can see surfers up close from the IB Pier (benches provided).
