About Laguna Coast Wilderness Park in Laguna Beach, California

Laguna Coast Wilderness Park is a large protected area filled with trails and many animals that call Coastal Sage Scrub their habitat. While this park is surrounded by housing developments in Orange County, it still feels remote as you hike around. The 40 miles of trails meander through rocky canyons and along ridge tops with incredible vistas looking out towards the ocean and the beaches of Laguna Beach. Most of the trails are open to mountain bikes and horses. Start your visit by stopping in at the Nix Nature Center to get information and get inspired. Parking in the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park lots requires a nominal daily fee (bring $1 bills or credit card). Note that trails might be closed after rain in the area.
