About The Getty Center Museum in Los Angeles, California

The Getty Center, named for J. Paul Getty, sits high on a hill at the edge of the Santa Monica Mountains with incredible views of Los Angeles. This large site contains a museum, a research institute, and a beautiful garden. The buildings are of a modern design that incorporates natural light and creates unique outdoor spaces. Art is the focus of the museum which offers a permanent collection and rotating exhibitions. Outside the museum there are outdoor art pieces and sculptures to photograph. There is a full service elegant restaurant with a healthy menu. A gift shop completes your visit to the Getty Center. Admission to the public is always free. There is a fee for parking which includes a tram ride from the parking lot to the Center.
