About 2222 Beach in Santa Cruz, California

The tiny beach known as 2222 Beach is located along West Cliff Drive at Auburn Avenue in Santa Cruz. Even though 2222 Beach is right in the city, it has steep walls around it and is therefore somewhat secluded. Due to the fast erosion of this small cove the back of it has been filled with huge boulders and chunks of concrete. In the winter the sand gets ripped away and the beach pretty much disappears. Even in the summer this is not a destination beach. There is a small parking lot next to the park above the beach which can be found across from a house at 2222 West Cliff Drive (therefor the name). A paved path follows the bluff in both directions for a nice walking or biking route.
