About Camino Pescadero Park Beach Access in Isla Vista, California

Tiny Camino Pescadero Park is located where Camino Pescadero ends at Del Playa Drive on the Isla Vista waterfront. The park is squeezed between homes on the bluff and has benches that overlook the ocean with views of the Channel Islands. It’s a great spot for a picnic, but there isn’t much open space for spreading out. There is a long steep stairwell in the park that provides access to this narrow section of Isla Vista Beach. Large rocks in the surf and the cliff walls behind the beach make this is photogenic spot. At high tide there is little if any dry sand exposed above the waves so it’s not the best sunbathing beach access in the area. That said, on nice days at lower tides there will probably be many UCSB students getting high doses of vitamin D at this spot. Look for parking spaces on the street along Del Playa Drive or nearby streets.
