Colorado Lagoon Park in Long Beach has sandy beaches along two sides of the Colorado Lagoon shoreline. This is an inland lake that is surrounded by parks and golf courses. The lagoon used to be connected to Alamitos Bay and is now a short distance away with Marina Vista Park in between the two bodies of water. A pedestrian bridge crosses the lagoon to connect the two beach areas. Swimming here is prohibited when water conditions are poor. Parking is available along Appian Way and also on Nieto Ave off 6th Street.
