About El Pescador State Beach in Malibu, California

El Pescador Beach is the westernmost of three south-facing pocket beaches in Robert Meyer Memorial State Beach. There is a separate parking lot for each of these three beaches on the bluff next to Pacific Coast Highway in Western Malibu. El Pescador has just enough sand above the high water mark for sunbathing.

This is a pleasant sandy cove with rocky areas and tide pools at both ends. It has more sand than La Piedra Beach and smaller crowds than El Matador.

From the El Pescador Beach parking lot you will hike down a trail to reach the beach. It’s the shortest hiking access of the three state beaches.

If you walk west around the rocks (only at low tide), you’ll eventually find a secret county beach called El Sol Beach which doesn’t have it’s own access, yet.

In the other direction (east) it’s not a long walk to La Piedra State Beach. Another popular state park, Point Dume, is visible in the distance from El Pescador Beach.
