Manchester State Park Beach

Manchester Beach in Manchester State Park has about four miles of beach in Mendocino County north of Point Arena, CA. The sandy beach and dunes at Manchester stretch from Point Arena Lighthouse to Alder Creek Beach at the north end of the park. Manchester State Beach is wide, remote, and faces northeast so it catches driftwood and debris for beachcombing discovery. The creeks in the park are popular for steelhead fishing and the wetland lagoons are popular for bird-watching. There is a campground at the main entrance if camping is an option for you. In addition to main access at the west end of Kinney Road, there is a parking lot at the west end of Stoneboro Road farther south off Highway 1. From the Stoneboro Lot it is about a half mile to the beach. From there it’s possible to walk another mile south on the beach to the Garcia River Mouth and Garcia River Beach which is part of the Stornetta Public Lands.
