About Parsons Landing on Catalina Island in Two Harbors, California

Parsons Landing, a popular backcountry camping destination, is on the north side of Catalina Island’s West End.

The West End Road leads to Parsons Landing from the small town of Two Harbors, but it’s a seven-mile trip so plan accordingly if you plan to hike or mountain bike.

Parsons Landing has one of just a few public beach campgrounds on the island that can be reached without a boat or kayak, however it is still popular with kayakers. Reservations are required and you much check in at Two Harbors to get a key to lockers with firewood and a container of water. Note that no running potable water is otherwise available at the beach.

Catalina Express operates boats daily to Two Harbors on Catalina Island from the mainland in the San Pedro area of Los Angeles.
