Riviera Beach

Riviera Beach is a public beach with access from a hard to find spot in south San Clemente, CA. The beach is wide enough that even at high tide you’ll find a spot for sunbathing. Two creeks drain down the canyons to the beach at this location and can pool up near the railroad tracks after heavy rains.

The San Clemente Coastal Trail passes by here making a great walk or bike ride up to the San Clemente Pier.

The best way to find the Riviera Access is by mapping to 2300 Plaza A La Playa, San Clemente. Or you can follow these direction from South I-5: from Avenida Calafia turn R on Ola Vista, then L on La Riviera, then R on Monte Cristo, then L on La Costa, then R on La Playa. The access is between homes on the north cul-de-sac of Plaza A La Playa. There are no facilities at Riviera Beach, but Calafia Beach has facilities and a cafe just a short walk to the south on the beach or the trail.
