About Tidelands Park in Morro Bay, California

Tidelands Park is a small grass park on Morro Bay that’s popular with families. There is no beach here as the water laps against a large boulder wall at the edge of the park. The city still provides a stairway down to the shore so that curious folks can access the tide flats during low tides.

The view from Tidelands park is amazing with Morro Rock towering over the bay, many anchored sailboats, and the sand spit that protects the bay.

Kids will enjoy the pirate and marine-themed play toys at Tidelands Park Playground. Adults will enjoy the many picnic tables and benches that are placed to optimize views. The park is walking distance from downtown Morro Bay so both tourists and locals can be seen here. Tidelands Park also has a boat launch and wooden docks south of the playground area.

To get to Tidelands Park simply drive south on Embarcadero Way from the waterfront in town.
