Wheeler Beach is a hike-in only beach located near Wheeler Camp in Sinkyone Wilderness State Park along the North Mendocino Coast. The beach is in a small cove where Jackass Creek flows down and pools on the dark-colored sand. Hiking The Lost Coast Trail requires a wilderness permit which you can get at Usal Campground or at Needle Rock Visitor Center along the Bear Harbor Road.
