About Banning House Lodge B&B in Two Harbors, California

Banning House Lodge is probably the best lodging option in the small town of Two Harbors on Catalina Island. This former hunting lodge was built on the quieter western side of the island in 1910 by the Banning family which owned the island back then. Now the restored Banning House is operated as a bed and breakfast with 12 different rooms, each with its own bathroom. Continental breakfast is included and evening wine and cheese socials too. In town there are a few options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The lodge is set up on a hill with views down to both harbors – Catalina Harbor and Isthmus Cove.

Two Harbors can be reached via the Catalina Express Ferry from the port in San Pedro, Los Angeles. A van shuttle takes guests from the town near the ferry dock to the Banning House Lodge up on the hill. After dropping off luggage, it’s not a long walk down the hill back into town. Visitors can rent kayaks, SUPs, snorkeling gear, and much more for enjoying the quiet waterfront of Two Harbors. The Safari Bus can take you to other parts of the island including some hidden beaches near Little Harbor if you’d like. Guided tours on bike and kayak are available too. Your stay at Banning House Lodge is the perfect base camp for exploring the west end of Catalina.
