About Imperial Beach
With mile after mile of some of Southern California’s most expansive and undeveloped beachfront property, Imperial Beach provides a serene sanctuary for those wanting to get away from the crowds. As the most southwestern city in the entire nation, Imperial Beach’s City Beach proudly hosts the U.S. Open Sand Castle Building Contest each year, only to be wiped clean by the tide at the end of the day. Imperial Beach Pier is also a big draw for tourists, and one of the best bird watching locations in the region. It includes an abundance of parks, restaurants and shops nearby.
