About Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey, California
Fisherman’s Wharf is actually two wharves on the waterfront in Monterey California. The Old Fisherman’s Wharf (sometimes referred to as Wharf #1) is an old wooden pier with many shops and restaurants (lots of seafood options). The newer Monterey Municipal Wharf (Wharf #2) is a longer concrete structure that is more of a working wharf, but has a couple restaurants and a wholesale fish market. The tourist activity happens at the old wharf where kids and families can all find something fun to see. There is a large parking lot for Fishermans Wharf at the north end of Washington Street (as you drive north from Highway 1 Munras Ave. becomes Abrego St. which eventually becomes Washington St.)
