About Unnamed North Jenner Beach in Jenner, California

This un-named beach north of Jenner California is one of the “North Jenner Beaches” in Sonoma Coast State Park. It has a narrow boot-beaten path down the steep hillside from a parking pull-out on Highway 1. The beach doesn’t have a lot of sand, but does have rocks and drift logs for resting on. Even if you can’t get down to the beach, and we don’t recommend trying, it is a stunning circular cove that makes for a great photograph. You have to walk from your car out to the edge of the hillside to see down into this west-facing cove. The shape of the cove suggests that a powerful rip current exists so stay away from the water if you manage to reach the beach. Fish Head Beach and Jenner Beach are to the south and Russian Gulch is a short drive north. Note that the trail to this hidden beach is overgrown and ticks are terrible in this area so check yourself if you choose to hike through the brush.
