Close to one of California’s largest cities, but far from boasting a big city atmosphere, the City of Hermosa Beach provides an undemanding and mellow vibe. Home to Hermosa City Beach, this surfing community includes the Surfer’s Walk of Fame. Located right on Hermosa Pier, this tribute includes bronze plaques engraved with some of the biggest names in surfing. The pier is also the place to go for fishing, or even just people watching. Bury your toes in the sand or jump in on a game of beach volleyball, before grabbing a bite to eat along Pier Plaza.
