Alt Karlsbad is the site of the first mineral spring in the area which was discovered while digging a well in 1882. The historic building was built in the late 1800s and is now a protected landmark. It was named for a similar mineral spa in Karlsbad, Bohemia, Czech Republic.
While you are there grab a bottle of Carlsbad Alkaline Water which comes from their artesian well. It is said to have healing properties.
