Balboa Fun Zone

The Newport Beach Balboa Fun Zone with its small Ferris Wheel has long been a tradition for families with kids who come to play near the ocean. It’s now under new ownership who is restoring the property. Check their website for updates.

For years this small amusement park was known for the carousel with beautifully-painted horses but it has since been removed. The Fun Zone includes an arcade and game room. Nearby are many restaurants to choose from.

Next to the Balboa Fun Zone is the Balboa Island Ferry, rental companies for Sea Doo’s and standup paddleboards, boat tours around the bay, fishing trip boats, and whale watching boats. ExplorOcean is here too. Right across the street on this peninsula and location that faces the bay, you’ll find the Balboa Pier, a beach playground, and smooth views of the Pacific Ocean.
