California Watersports on Carlsbad Lagoon

California Watersports is a rental company on the shores of Carlsbad Lagoon (Agua Hedionda) in Carlsbad. They rent motorized and human-powered crafts for exploring the lagoon.

If you want a motor they have these available by the hour: open-bow boats, pontoon boats, mini 2-person pontoon boats (CraigCats) and electric pontoon boats (Funcats). Note that motorized watercraft are only rented to 21 years old and up.

If you want to propel yourself around the lagoon they have kayaks, aqua cycles, pedal boats, and stand-up paddleboards (SUPs) for rent.

They also have private spaces on their sandy beach and on their deck for rent. These are perfect for a larger gathering where you want to enjoy the rentals too.

If you are not into surfing and still want to get out on the water, California Watersports is a great opportunity. They are right on the north shore of the lagoon and the calm water makes for a relaxing day.
