Crown Cove Aquatic Center

Crown Cove Aquatic Center is one of the best ways to get out onto San Diego Bay. You can rent all sorts of water-based toys here including kayaks (single, tandem, triple), stand-up paddleboards, surfboards, and even boats like sailboats. If it’s your first time on a SUP or surfboard they’ll give you some tips before you go. With sailing and other more involved activities they have private classes to make sure you can do it safely by yourself in the future.

Reservations are required for rentals so contact them before your visit. Depending on the time of year, the center might only be open Friday through Sunday. SUP yoga classes are also available if you are interested – ask when you reserve your gear.

The Aquatic Center is located at Crown Cove Beach (access to the cove is from Silver Strand State Beach) a few miles south of the town of Coronado. All activities will be on San Diego Bay except for surfing which you can try on the ocean waves at Silver Strand State Beach.
