Gaslamp Quarter is a must see area of San Diego for tourists, foodies, and those who appreciate architecture. This Victorian designed area of downtown San Diego is alive and entertaining visitors day and night. You’ll find music, art, theater, museums, and rich history packed into one small district. Have the bus, trolley, taxi or Uber drop you off here and set aside some time to walk all of the streets. It’s only 16 1/2 blocks but there is a lot to see. The waterfront and Seaport Village are nearby as is the heart of downtown and other unique San Diego neighborhoods. You can even hop on the Coronado Ferry from the dock near the Convention Center.  All of the downtown hotels are close to Gaslamp Quarter so just walk over if you are staying in one of them. The beaches on Coronado Island are the best near downtown and Gaslamp Quarter.
