Hollywood Walk of Fame

Hollywood Walk of Fame is a world famous attraction featuring more than 2,000 stars honoring celebrities in motion pictures, television, recording, radio and theatre. The Walk is located on Hollywood Boulevard beginning at Hollywood & Highland next to the shopping center. Approximately 20 new stars are added each year.

During the daylight hours look alike characters play the roles of Superman, Charlie Chaplin and a variety of celebrities such as Elvis show up, offering to pose for photos hoping for cash tips for their efforts. If you do not tip them, they often will request money. Don’t be surprised to see two Supermen at the same time. You also will see cameras galore and often a film crew taping something, be it a student film, a television show or even the Academy Awards ceremonies pre-show.

Surrounded by shops with souvenirs such as posters, statues, pictures, postcards, keychains, mini-Walk of Fame ornaments, T-shirts, hats and more, there are also booths and stores selling tickets for Hollywood tours. Shopping is only second to placing your hands and feet in the cement molds of the celebrities and snapping a photo.
