About Keller Beach in Richmond, California

Keller Beach is a small sandy beach on the waterfront in Richmond, California. It’s in a park known as Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline and street parking spaces can be found along the southbound side of Dornan Drive just outside of the Ferry Point Tunnel. Benches and picnic tables are provided in the park near the beach.

This hidden beach offers a great place to put your toes in the sand but the water here is frequently unsafe due to bacteria from surface water runoff. The county tests the water regularly and will rate whether it is safe by using a stop sign system (a red sign means stay out of the water). Don’t go in the water within 3 days of a rainstorm. This beach has made the Beach Bummer List from HealTheBay.org which means it’s one of the 10 worst beaches in the entire state.
