About Angel Island State Park – Perles Beach in Tiburon, California

Perles Beach is on the west side of Angel Island State Park on San Francisco Bay near Tiburon. It’s hidden away below the main loop road near the Camp Reynolds West Garrison site. The island has paved roads and dirt fire roads for cyclists to enjoy. You can rent bikes on the island seasonally or bring bikes onto the island any time of the year. Hiking trails meander around the park and climb up to the summit of Mt. Livermore at 788 feet above the bay. Near Perles Beach and all over the island are military batteries and other excellent sites to discover. The historic Angel Island United States Immigration Station has a museum and is worth visiting too. There is a tent campground above the beach if you plan to stay overnight. Near the ferry dock landing is a cafe and restaurant that are open seasonally on nice days. Bike rentals, tram tours, and Segway tours are available through the Angel Island Company. Access to the Island is via the San Francisco Angel Island Ferry or the Tiburon Angel Island Ferry. Check the ferry schedules ahead of time as they change throughout the year.
