Painted Cave of Santa Cruz Island in Ventura, California
If you take a boat trip out to Santa Cruz Island or Santa Rosa Island in the Channel Islands you might be treated to a stop at the painted cave on Santa Cruz Island. Because the boat has to pull in close to the rocky cliffs to see the colorful cave, they need calm seas. It’s a unique rock formation and a great photo opportunity. Kayaking out to the cave would be even better as there are many more caves to see along the shoreline. Contact Island Packers about a trip out to the islands.
