Pier 39 in San Francisco is not your average pier. This pier is a destination for food, shopping, and entertainment. It’s located on the waterfront in San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf district.

Attractions at Pier 39 include Aquarium of the Bay, a mirror maze, a laser maze, city bus tours, bay boat tours, bike rentals, a carousel, wine tasting, and professional musicians and street performers. Dining options vary from standard fare to chowder and seafood to crepes, ice cream, cupcakes, and chocolate. Lots of sweet stuff! Shopping-wise you have over 50 different stores to choose from selling everything from clothes, to gadgets and souvenirs, to charms and jewelry, to art and posters, to magic and swords – yes real metal swords! If you are visiting San Francisco you have to visit Pier 39 and plan to spend some time there. It’s super fun.
