Isla Vista County Park is located at Camino Corto and Del Playa Drive in Isla Vista, CA. Below the park is a narrow sandy beach backed by steep cliff walls. Just east of Camino Corto on Del Playa Drive is a pathway between buildings that leads to a stairway and access to Isla Vista Beach. The Isla Vista City Parks Department calls this Escondido Pass Beach Access. When the tide is high there will be no dry beach below Isla Vista Park. When tides prohibit beach play here, you can go for a walk on a trail that begins at Camino Majorca and leads west to Devereux and Sands Beach on Coal Oil Point. At low tide there are tide pools in the area to explore. Parking can be found on streets near the beach access.
