About Marina Park Beach in Ventura, California

Marina Park in Ventura, CA has a large open grass area for playing Frisbee or just hanging out in the sun. The city has built a large safe play area for kids that brings families to this park. There isn’t much of a beach right in front of the park because of rocky protection barriers at the edge of the sand. However, there is a lot of wide sandy beach north of the park where San Buenaventura State Beach begins. A pathway leads out toward the end of the jetty protecting Ventura Harbor. Sailing lessons are offered here at Marina Park and you could easily launch a kayak or other small water craft from the dock too. Fishing is allowed from the dock. You can get to the park by driving south on Pierpont Boulevard to the end where there is a large parking lot.
