Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort and Marina operate this facility with a privately-owned horseshoe shaped beach and cove in Newport Harbor. The park has a marina, restaurant, large RV park campground, and rental cottages with access to the harbor and Back Bay Nature Preserve Park. The resort offers visitors a “waterpark” on their beach with rental kayaks, sailboats, electric boats, pedal boats, stand-up-paddleboards, and more. These facilities are available for a fee to day-use visitors as well as their overnight guests. Free street parking spaces can be found along Back Bay Drive near the resort entrance. The Pirate Coast Paddle Company operates on the point outside the Newport Dunes Bridge at the mouth of the cove. They rent SUPs and teach lessons for exploring Newport Dunes Cove and the Back Bay Preserve.
