Faces of Freedom Veterans Memorial

The Faces of Freedom Veterans Memorial is located in Atascadero Lake Park at the corner of Morro Road and Portola Road. It has a brick walkway known as the Pathway to Freedom with names of veterans engraved on the bricks. This path leads to a bronze statue and a monument called the Heroes Wall with plaques dedicated to all the wars since WWI including the current Global War on Terror.

This memorial is a solemn place that’s perfect for reflecting on the wars we’ve fought on the cost of those wars in human terms.
