About Hog Island Oyster Company in Marshall, California
If you like to eat oysters, you should consider stopping at the Hog Island Oyster Company. Unfortunately they no longer allow visitors to “shuck-your-own” oysters onsite. Now they have The Hog Shack where you can purchase oysters and other local seafood “to go”.
Adjacent to The Hog Shack you’ll find their outdoor café called The Boat Oyster Bar. There you can get a meal including oysters (raw and barbecued) plus salads, small plates and seafood specials. They also have wine, beer, and NA drinks. For a fee you can bring your own wine bottles too. This is quite the experience and highly recommended.
No matter how you enjoy the Hog Island Oyster Co. it’s worth your time. Check their website for specifics and reservations. Oysters is what to do in Marshall, California!

Hog Island Oyster Company is no longer a destination place to go for shuck your own oysters or for family BBQ. I am sad to have missed this opportunity. I did examine the restaurant menu. but don’t anticipate having the same experience.
