About Fruit Tree Beach in Inverness, California

Fruit Tree Beach is a boat-in beach campground on a small sandy point on Tomales Bay in Point Reyes National Seashore. This beach is on a point known as Laird’s Landing and is just south of Marshall Beach. After tying up your boat or beaching your kayak, venture north and south as far as the tide level will allow. Look for fruit trees in the area that give this beach its name. There is no potable water available at Fruit Tree Beach and all human waste must be carried out. Boats can be launched at Nick’s Cove public boat launch (nickscove.com) or rented at Lawson’s Landing (lawsonslanding.com). Kayaks can be rented in Inverness or Marshall from Blue Waters Kayaking (bwkayak.com).
