About Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline in Oakland, California

MLK Regional Shoreline Park is located on San Leandro Bay near the Oakland International Airport. It doesn’t have a sandy beach, but it does have shoreline access for boating, fishing, picnicking, kayaking, birding and even hiking. Both the Arrowhead Marsh Trail and the Doolittle Trail follow the shoreline with views out to the wetlands where many different bird species can be spotted. The park has picnic areas, an accessible observation tower, a boat launch, and a pier for launching canoes and kayaks.
