About Memorial Court in San Francisco, California

This small but powerful memorial to our veterans is worth visiting on your next stay in San Francisco. The courtyard is flanked by the War Memorial Opera House on one side, and the San Francisco War Memorial and Performing Arts Center Building on the other. It also looks directly at the San Francisco City Hall Building with its beautiful dome towering overhead. All three buildings frame this park perfectly and make it a picture-worthy location. The stone memorial itself is etched on various sides. One reads “The People of San Francisco dedicate this memorial to our nation’s veterans in honor of their service” and was dedicated October 10, 2014.
