About Navarro River Redwoods State Park in Albion, California

Navarro River Redwoods State Park is a 14 mile long linear state park that follows the banks of Navarro River and North Fork Navarro River in Mendocino County. Huge second-growth redwood trees grow tall along this stretch of the rivers. California Highway 128 runs east-west through the park and Highway 1 crosses the river near the river mouth. Navarro Beach is included in this state park.

Kayaking and canoeing on the river is popular when the river level is higher during the winter and spring months. Steelhead fishing is popular during the fishing season. Campsites can be found at the Navarro Beach and at Dimmick Campground a riverside camp along Hwy 128. Spots at both campgrounds are first come first served, but you can still call the park to confirm they are open during the off-season.
