About Nojoqui Falls Park & Trail in Goleta, California

Nojoqui Falls Park is located south of Solvang at the base of the Santa Ynez Mountains. Nojoqui Creek flows northward from the ridge crest and falls over a cliff near the base. A short trail leads from this day-use park to the falls.

The falls usually don’t have a large flow, but the height of the falls is impressive. The water splits and tumbles down a mossy rock face in a shaded spot where you can actually stand at the base of the falls. After heavy rains this waterfall can be pretty exciting.

The hike to the falls is about a half mile and takes 10 to 15 minutes. The grade is slightly uphill and the trail is in great shape. Signs warn of rocks falling from nearby cliffs and require that visitors stay on the trails and not climb around, especially at the falls.

Dogs are allowed in the park and on the trail to the falls, but must be on a leash.

The park is open from 8 am every morning until sunset. Amenities include restrooms, picnic areas with barbecues, grass fields, and a playground.

To get to Nojoqui Falls Park, drive south on Alisal Road from Solvang and watch for signs after about six miles from downtown.
