Sand Dune Park

Sand Dune Park is a city park located on a steep hillside in Manhattan Beach. It’s popular with families and with kids who love sand dunes. At the north end of the park there’s a 100 foot high slope covered in deep sand that kids can climb up and jump, roll, or run down. Near the sandy slope there’s a children’s playground with other facilities including picnic areas, restrooms, and drinking water. The rest of the park includes trails and flora in Manhattan Beach Sand Dune Nature Preserve.

Due to maintenance costs of the slope the city has implemented a reservation system. See their website linked on this page for more information.
