About Chula Vista Bayside Park in San Diego, California

Chula Vista Bayside Park is a small waterfront park on the east side of San Diego Bay in the Chula Vista area of San Diego. The beach here is small but it’s great for swimming and launching a kayak or stand-up paddleboard to explore this side of the bay including nearby Sweetwater Marsh. Adjacent to the park is the J Street Marina which has a boat launch at Bayfront Park on the south side. Chula Vista Kayaks operates out of this location and offers rentals and guided tours of the marsh. Bayside Park has a large grass lawn, picnic areas, and a long pier from which you can look across the water toward Coronado Island. Paved paths meander along the shore in the park for walking, running, biking, and skating. To get here from I-5, take the Marina Parkway exit and follow signs for the Chula Vista RV Park Resort and Bayside Park and Pier.
