About Moss Street Beach in Laguna Beach, California

Moss Street Beach is a small rocky and narrow beach in Laguna Beach, CA. Moss Street Beach is the official name of the beach on signage near the access entrance, but the beach is commonly referred to as Moss Cove or Moss Point Beach for the rocky point on the south side of the beach (signage is confusing here).

At the dead end of Moss St (one block west of South Coast Highway 1) there is a brick wall and a stairwell that drops down to the rocks in Moss Cove. There is not much sand when the tide is high. Consult tide tables online and consider a visit to this secluded spot when the tide is out. Tide pools on Moss Point are exposed during low tide.

This is a popular scuba diving spot for the reefs near Moss Point and also north at Woods Cove Beach which can be accessed from the Moss Street access.
