About Naples Point Beach in Goleta, California

Naples Point is a remote surfing spot west of Santa Barbara that is difficult to access. The best way to get there these days is by walking north at low tide from Haskell’s Beach at the Bacara Resort. It’s about two miles from the resort’s beach access to Naples Point, but the beach in between is still worth exploring and you can turn around at any point. Don’t get stuck out there with the rising tide as you can’t walk across the private land above the beach to get out. This area has tide pools and unique ridges of rock in the sand that make it fun to explore and photograph.
