About Pescadero Point Beach in Pescadero, California

Pescadero Point Beach is just off Highway 1 in southern San Mateo County. It’s about a mile south of Pescadero State Beach and a half-mile north of Bean Hollow State Beach. There are no facilities here but if the parking lots at the state beaches are full, you could head to this little-known beach next to Pescadero Point. The small pull-out parking area along the highway has room for only a few cars. There is a narrow path with steps that leads down from the parking area to the sandy beach below. Tide pools are in the surf and best at lower tides. If it is not high tide, you can explore north on the sand between unique rock formations to a secluded cove below nice homes on the bluff. Signage next to the beach access indicates that Pescadero Point Beach is state-property, but it’s not clear which of the two state parks it is part of. Dogs are allowed on the beach if they are leashed.
