Santa Rosa Creek Beach at the Santa Rosa Creek Natural Preserve is a day-use beach access in Cambria, CA. Santa Rosa Creek Beach is the southernmost part of the huge Hearst San Simeon State Park. The parking lot entrance can be found at the south end of Moonstone Beach Drive. An accessible boardwalk leads to two observation platforms that look out over the beach and the Santa Rosa Creek Lagoon. Various bird species can be spotted on the beach and at the lagoon. A stairway here leads down to the driftwood laden beach below. On the other side of the creek mouth is Shamel Park, a San Luis Obispo Parks Department facility. The Moonstone Beach Boardwalk begins at the Santa Rosa Creek parking lot and makes a pleasant scenic walk up to Leffingwell Landing and back – a distance of about one mile each way.
