Leffingwell Landing at Moonstone Beach

Leffingwell Landing is a day-use area at the north end of Moonstone Beach in Cambria. The landing has a boat ramp, restrooms, picnic tables, and trails that can take you to amazing ocean overlooks. This is a state-run facility that is part of Hearst San Simeon State Park.

The Moonstone Beach Boardwalk begins here and follows the bluff above Moonstone Beach all the way to the other end at the Santa Rosa Creek day-use area (a distance of one mile). In between there are benches and an overlook where you can take a rest and soak in the view.

To get to Leffingwell Landing State Beach, drive north on Moonstone Beach Drive from downtown Cambria and look for signed parking lots on the left (across from address 7200 Moonstone Beach Dr) before the road connects back up with Highway 1.

Oceanpoint Ranch Resort is across the street from Leffingwell Landing and has cottages for rent and The Cow Tipper restaurant. Many more hotels line Moonstone Drive walking distance away.
