About Shamel Park in Cambria, California

Shamel Park is a county-owned community park on the beach in northern Cambria, CA. It’s located at the mouth of Santa Rosa Creek where a wide sandy beach opens up along this rocky shoreline. The south end of the beach ends abruptly at the base of the Nottingham Bluffs where tide pools are exposed at low tides. In the warmer months a swimming pool opens up for use. The rest of the year the park still has grass playfields and picnic facilities to enjoy. Parking for Shamel Park is on Windsor Boulevard a short drive from the Windsor Blvd intersection with Highway 1. The state provides a parking lot for Santa Rosa Creek Beach at the other side of the creek mouth off Moonstone Beach Drive.
