About Pelican Inn in Muir Beach, California

The historic Pelican Inn is the only hotel in town in Marin County’s tiny Muir Beach. It’s a small bed and breakfast hotel with an old English feel and only seven bedrooms. Other than vacation rentals in Muir Beach, this is your best bet for staying in town.

Pelican Inn is just a short walk or drive down to the large parking lot for the sandy beach in Muir Beach. The restaurant at Pelican Inn serves a mean shepherd’s pie and other English favorites and is open to the public for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is just for the overnight guests.

Muir Beach is close to so many trails including one, the Dias Ridge Trail, which begins right at Pelican Inn. Muir Woods National Monument, Mount Tam State Park, and the Marin Headlands are all just a short drive away. This town and inn are a great place to stay if you want to experience Marin.
