About Sideways Inn in Buellton, California
The Sideways Inn is located conveniently along the Highway 101. If you’ve seen the movie Sideways, you’ll understand the inspiration for the hotel name. There are quite a few windmills in the area of Buellton and Solvang, two communities influenced by Danish culture. This boutique hotel is within view of the Santa Barbara Marriott but offers a lower price on rooms. For that, you don’t get tennis courts, but you do get a room conveniently located near a variety of Central Coast cities and activities. Adjacent to the Sideways Inn is Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground which is owned by the same company and shares its amenities (fire pit and fireside lounge, playground, bocce, and much more). Since the property is right off the freeway exit, it is ideal for those late night drives when you need to rest and want to get a room right away.
Nearby attractions include Solvang downtown shopping, two missions, dozens of wineries, Lompoc flower fields, Santa Barbara, historic Los Alamos, Santa Ynez and Los Olivos, and the Chumash Indian Casino. You might consider staying at this Buellton hotel on your next Central Coast drive.
