About Newport Harbor Patrol Beach in Newport Beach, California

On Bayside Drive in the Corona Del Mar area of Newport Beach there is a small sandy beach at the Orange County Harbor Patrol facility. This flat sandy spot on Newport Harbor is managed by the OC Beaches and Parks Department. It has a volleyball court, picnic tables, and is a great launch point for stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking. It’s not a well-known beach so it might be quiet (except on hot days when locals will pack area beaches). Street parking is available on Bayside Drive south of the Balboa Yacht Club near the Harbor Patrol entrance. There are a few public spaces inside the Harbor Patrol facility, but heed all signs to make sure you don’t wind up in the wrong spot.
