About Carbon Canyon Regional Park in Brea, California

Packing for a trip to Northern California to see the redwoods this summer? Well if you live in Southern California or plan to visit in the future, you can see a grove of Redwood trees there. Just drive up to the foothills near Brea and Yorba Linda to hike around in Carbon Canyon Regional Park. It’s easy to get here from much of Los Angeles and northern Orange County. About half the park is a developed space with a playground, sports fields, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, picnic areas, BBQs, and grassy areas. The rest of the park has trails to explore including the hidden Redwood Grove. Some of the trails are open for mountain biking. On the developed part of the park there is a small lake for fishing. Dogs are allowed on leash. Carbon Canyon Park is open 7 days a week. They charge a small fee for parking.
