Honeydew Country Store

Honeydew Country Store is a small general store and deli (with burgers too) on the way to Mattole River Beach and Campground. This is the perfect place to stop for food and drink for your trip to the beach or for a day-hike to Punta Gorda Lighthouse or backpacking trip on The Lost Coast Trail. If you intend to drive the entire Mattole Road to Ferndale, you should get snacks for the road trip. They have full meals (hot and cold) if you just want to sit and fill up your body’s tank. Ample indoor seating is provided and there’s an outdoor table too if it’s open.

There isn’t much else in this remote part of the Northern California Coast. Services are sparse however there is another small general store in Petrolia if this one doesn’t have what you are looking for.

The Honeydew Store is open seven days a week.
